Introduction
Hello, I am Angela Kotsiras, the founder of MathsTeachersOnly.com, bringing over 40 years of mathematics teaching experience.
Education and Career Highlights
I hold a Bachelor of Science (Education) and a Master of Education (Mathematics) from the University of Melbourne.
Throughout my teaching career, I have passionately taught all levels of Secondary School Mathematics, including VCE studies.
Roles such as Head of Maths, VCAA assessor for Maths Methods, and founder of the Mathematics Heads of Faculty (HOF) Network have enriched my journey. I have also served as Vice President and Secretary for the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) and continue to actively support their work through my networks.
Gratitude and Contributions
I am grateful for the mathematics teachers and colleagues who have shaped my journey, some of whom generously contribute resources to this site.
Teaching students has also been profoundly enriching, and it is a joy to now teach their children who are now in secondary school.
Current Roles
In my current roles, I wear multiple hats to foster a love for mathematics.
As the Academic Extension and Enrichment Programs Coordinator at an independent school, I am dedicated to overseeing and providing students with growth opportunities through competitions, clubs, events, and enriching academic experiences.
Additionally, I run my own online tutoring business, offering personalised guidance in mathematics for all levels of secondary school. This venture allows me to connect with a broader range of students and share my passion for learning beyond the confines of a traditional classroom setting.
