Maths Enrichment

About the competition

Maths Enrichment, organised by the Australian Maths Trust, is an extended program for mathematically capable and motivated students. Unlike a one-off competition, it develops mathematical ideas beyond the standard curriculum through structured Student Notes and challenging problems over several months. Teachers guide students through the material, encouraging independent investigation, persistence and clear written reasoning. It provides a pathway towards more advanced problem-solving opportunities, including AIMO.

Suggested school planning: Schools offering both programs may wish to schedule Maths Challenge first and then run Maths Enrichment afterwards, rather than running them concurrently. This allows students to focus on each program and provides a progression from shorter problem-solving challenges to more sustained mathematical investigation.
