About the competition
The Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO), organised by the Australian Maths Trust, challenges mathematically talented students with demanding, non-routine problems requiring sustained reasoning and clear mathematical communication. It is particularly suitable for students who have performed strongly in the Australian Mathematics Competition or completed advanced mathematics enrichment activities. AIMO results can help identify students for further Olympiad opportunities.
